Relationship and Sex Education (RSE)

Parents and carers have the right to withdraw pupil from sex education (but not Relationships or Health Education). Before a unit of Sex and Relationship Education takes place  parents will be reminded via written communication from the class teachers  that they can withdraw their child from the Sex Education aspect of the lessons, where this isn’t explicitly part of the science national curriculum.

When teaching Sex Education, resources used will be made available for parents to view beforehand if they wish to see them to help them make their own decisions about whether they wish to withdraw their child or not .
