Southroyd and Bachpan have now shared their exciting results for our ISA project to find the 5 people who changed the World. 

We looked at the results in assembly and recognised the excellent discussions and depth of conversations that had taken place in the weeks before.

Not only was there some overlap between both schools but a few surprises too! Well done to everyone who took part in the project and hopefully found the project of great interest.

At Southroyd it was clear how important was the impact of Sir David Attenborough on our everyday lives in bringing some of the amazing features of life on Planet Earth to our homes - and in his way, making us feel more responsible for its upkeep.

Greetings from Bachpan.

We are glad to participate in the survey on "The People who improved the world".

We had organised a "Speech Competition" to create awareness among the students about the contribution of various personalities to bring a change in this world. Many students participated in this and spoke about their favourite personality whom they thought as the best.  

More details were added through a presentation prepared for the same. Then all the students voted for their best five personalities.

World Changers Launch

On Martin Luther King's birthdate (Jan 15th) Southroyd launched an exciting ISA project to vote for the 5 inspirational people who have changed the World. 

Parents and families kept up to date with events and discussions through our Newsletter or @southroyd twitter feed until the end of the project just after World Day of Social Justice.

We shared assemblies, Big Talk and class discussions before we combined our nominations through School Council.

School Council then produced a short list of possible ""World Changers" and then invited all Southroyd children and families to take part in a vote for their World Changer over the half term holidays.

In classes, assembly, school council and at home, children presented their ideas using talk, learning logs or written reports to reflect on the contributions made by many historical figures to improving our earth.
